LANGUAGE LEARNING DEMONSTRATION AT THE BRIARCLIFF MANOR PUBLIC LIBRARY
Are you interested in learning a new language or brushing up on your skills?  Then come to the Briarcliff Manor Public Library on Tuesday, July 31, from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. for a demonstration of our new Transparent Language program.  Transparent Language is a comprehensive online program for adults that offers lessons in conversation, grammar and cultural resources for 80+ languages.

Friday Night at the Movies at the Briarcliff Manor Public Library has been cancelled for this Friday, July 27 due to low registration and the confict with opening night of the Summercliff Player’s production of Once on This Island at Briarcliff High School.
Our next movie will be, Sleepless in Seattle (PG), on Friday, August 10 at 7:00 pm.

Wednesday, July 25 at 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm — Every area of our library will be devoted to a different constellation and have a related activity.  Games, craft, and more for all ages, and some learning about our night sky along the way.  SPECIAL GUEST: HUDSON RIVER MUSEUM will host a special activity and, weather permitting, bring a special telescope along!  This event is mostly an indoor event and will go forward in rain or shine.  No registration is required.

4th,5th and 6th graders are invited to join us inside the library this Thursday, July 19 at 6:00 pm for a night of “improv games” that are for aspiring and non-aspiring actors alike. HALLOWEEN IN JULY AT BRIARCLIFF LIBRARY

This Wednesday at 1:00 pm is Briarcliff Manor Public Library’s annual HALLOWEEN IN JULY event for 2.5 – 7 year olds.  There will be Halloween stories and craft (outside in the Pavilion) and then we will all head inside  for a quick “trick or treat” around the library.  No registration is required.


SPECIAL EVENING STORYTIME FOR YOUNG CHILDREN THIS THURSDAY AT 6 PM

PAJAMARAMA, Thursday, July 12 at 6:00 – 6:40 pm — Young children are invited to join us for stories, games and a craft at this special Pajamarama Storytime inside the Briarcliff Manor Public Library!  Kids are welcome to come in pajamas if they wish (optional).  No registration is required.  This program is for 2.5 – 7 year olds (with caregivers).


FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT — Born to be Wild [G], Thurs. at 7 pm at BMPL

Beat the heat with a free movie night at Briarcliff Manor Public Library this Thursday, July 12 at 7 pm. We will be showing the recent dvd release: BORN TO BE WILD on our big screen.  You are welcome to bring you own snacks to enjoy while watching the show.  No registration is necessary.
